LIAT AIR APOLOGISES FOR FLIGHT DISRUPTIONS, ASSURES OF IMPROVEMENTS

LIAT Air says passengers should begin to see some relief from flight disruptions as more of its aircraft return to service.

The carrier is currently operating with reduced capacity, with two aircraft undergoing scheduled maintenance and another out of service, after an engine problem forced a flight from Guyana to Antigua to turn back on Sunday.  

All 47 passengers on board landed safely.

The management team of the Antigua-based carrier is now outlining when more aircraft should return and how the disruptions are being handled in the meantime.
