Liat Air Launches New Guadeloupe to Montego Bay Route

Liat Air has been welcomed with a water cannon salute as its flight 561 landed at Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, Jamaica from Guadeloupe on Tuesday.

The carrier celebrated its inaugural direct flight from the French Overseas Territory to Montego Bay, in another milestone in its regional expansion.

The flight had 32 passengers, 23 of whom will be staying overnight.

Chief Executive Officer of MBJ Airports Limited, operators of Sangster International, Shane Munroe, has welcomed this flight as another step towards connectivity, particularly with the Eastern Caribbean.

He hopes this is among many more routes into Sangster International to be announced.
