Outstanding Issues Hinders Beaches Project Commencement

Several outstanding issues remain as stumbling blocks for the commencement of the beaches project.

Prime Minister the Hon. Gaston Browne says more land is needed for work to begin on the project.

Browne noted that the lands were already demarcated some years ago, and it is the intentions of the government to ensure the project becomes a reality for the economic benefits are far reaching.

The Nation’s leader stated that public access to the beach remains is a priority for his government.

Beaches Antigua will boast 1-4 bedroom suites, up to 12 restaurants, conferencing facilities and a wide range of exhilarating and unique features. The opening of the US-150-million dollar resort will also triple employment currently at GPA to over 700 in addition to hundreds of construction jobs.
