PM BROWNE CHIDES WOMEN WHO ‘LOVE GUNMEN’

Prime Minister the Right Honourable Gaston Browne is calling for a cultural shift in the way crime and known offenders are viewed in Antigua and Barbuda

He argues that society must stop glorifying those involved in criminal activity.

Prime Minister Browne says people have begun to “lionize” known gunmen, thieves, and other repeat offenders rather than condemning their behaviour.

He says stronger law enforcement must be accompanied by a change in public attitudes towards criminals.

He is miffed by the attitude of some women who enter intimate relationships with known criminals.
