PUBLIC COOPERATION KEY TO COMPLETING ONGOING CENSUS BY END OF THIS YEAR

The National Bureau of Statistics is aiming to complete the delayed 2025 Population and Housing Census by the end of this year.

The exercise began September last year, but has faced delays because of limited public cooperation and a high turn-over rate among enumerators.

Director of the Bureau, Statchel Edwards, revealed the year-end target on ABS Presents Monday night, but says meeting it will depend heavily on the public.
