Police Discover Marijuana Plants On Barbuda’s East Coast

As part of the continued efforts of the police force, lawmen on the sister isle Barbuda are investigating the cultivation of a number of marijuana plants found on the eastern coast of the island.

Mari plantsReports are that lawmen were tipped off, and upon arriving at the location Saturday morning, some 27 plants were found growing amongst the bushes.

Of the plants, 23 were said to be in the early stages of maturity while four were relatively young.

No one was on site when police arrived and no arrests have been made.

The plants were uprooted and confiscated; investigations are likely to continue.
