POLICE INVESTIGATE DEATH OF HOMELESS MAN

An investigation has begun into the death of a homeless man who died suddenly at Perry Bay yesterday.
A friend of 47-year-old Carrie Wilson told police the man began feeling ill around 10 Saturday morning.
He says Wilson, who goes by the alias “Ah Dat” sat near a container to rest but his condition deteriorated throughout the day.
The Emergency Medical Services were called after the man fell to ground around 7:25 in the evening.
He was pronounced dead by a medical doctor at 8:35pm.
Wilson is one of several homeless people who sleep under containers at Perry Bay.
Earlier this month, he told ABS News things had gotten more challenging since the coronavirus pandemic.

He had also called for the government to provide food in the evening in addition to what is provided at the soup kitchen in the day.
