Residents to Benefit from Community Caravan

Residents in Grays Green, Pares, All Saints, Liberta and Old Road will benefit from a community caravan being hosted by the Antigua Planned Parenthood Association (APPA).

Executive Director APPA Lindale Weaver-Greenaway explains that the caravan being held from March 3 to 7, from 3pm to 7pm, seeks to better educate persons on its services and those of other social partners.

She adds that HIV rapid testing will be done on site and pap smears as well.

Population Services International (PSI) having stepped up its offering to include sexual reproductive health, will be partnering with the APPA to further promote its advocacy work of encouraging persons to access their services.

Weaver-Greenaway and PSI Sales Promotion Agent / Behavioral Change Communications Officer Elvis Murray-Watkins speak of other community services offered to include assisting schools with Health and Family Life Education.

The APPA Executive Director adds that that prostate screening will soon be offered.
