SIR CLARE ROBERTS URGES FOCUS ON CONSTITUTIONAL REFORM
The Governor General’s Deputy, Sir Clare Roberts King’s Counsel, is urging parliamentarians to place constitutional reform as one of their areas of focus.
Sir Clare says this is even more critical after almost four and a half decades of Antigua and Barbuda’s independence.
He was speaking at Tuesday’s swearing-in of Malaka Parker as the fourth and final opposition senator.
Senators will take the oath of allegiance when Parliament’s Upper House meets on Wednesday, the first time since the April 30 general election.
