Sir Garfield Sobers Dead at 89

Cricketing legend, Sir Garfield Sobers, has died at 89, some 11 days before his 90th birthday.

The Barbadian national, considered the greatest all-rounder ever, was also a champion for more access to under-priviledged youth in cricket with the Sir Garry Sobers Foundation.

Sobers played for the West Indies Cricket Team between 1954 and 1974, and served as captain in 1967-68, and 1970-71.
