The Association of Person living with Disabilities to revamp The ABAPEC

Children with disabilities who are not potty trained have prompted the Association of Persons Living with Disabilities to take action.

According to President of the Association of Persons Living with Disabilities Bernard Warner, the focus for 2014 will be rehabilitation.

Warner warns that children living with disabilities not being allowed in school because they are not potty trained is clearly a violation of their human rights and the education act.

The association will be revamping the Antigua and Barbuda Association of Parents with Exceptional Children (ABAPEC) to assist in developing the program.

Other plans for the association include setting back up its youth arm, meet with the government and opposition on the way forward, fence the land and complete work on its headquarters.
