Two men, aged 21 and 32, remain in the Intensive Care Unit at the hospital Sunday afternoon following a crash on the Sir Sydney Walling Highway Saturday night.

Police reported that the collision involved a black Toyota Allex car, driven by a 29-year-old man from Willikies Village, and a White Honda Stepwagon van, driven by a 36-year-old man from Pares Village.

The Toyota car was allegedly heading west at high speed near XPZ Supermarket when the driver lost control and smashed into the Honda van, which was travelling in the opposite direction.

The car then veered off the road and smashed into a wooden utility pole.

The two men in hospital were passengers in the Toyota car and were last listed in serious condition.

The drivers of both vehicles and a third passenger of the car reportedly escaped serious injuries.
