WARNING ISSUED TO STUDENTS STUDYING IN CHINA

The Health Ministry is offering crucial advice to Antiguan and Barbudan students in China following the discovery of a new coronavirus in that country.

Chief Medical Officer Dr Rhonda Sealey Thomas has written to the students urging them to monitor the situation and follow the instructions and guidelines from the authorities in China.

Dr Sealey Thomas is urging the students to avoid contact with sick people as well as live or dead animals and animal markets.

The CMO is also asking the students to contact her or Dr Anju Smith at the Health Ministry if they intend to return to Antigua within the next few weeks.
