To attract qualified technicians into the various agriculture-related fields.

“Securing our Nation through Innovation” is the theme of the inaugural event, to be held on the 16th and 17th of November commencing 9 am daily.

Organizers say that the ministry has recognized that most persons view agriculture as a field where only farming and animal rearing takes priority; this, as they are aiming to showcase, could not be further from the reality.

Minister with responsibility for all things agriculture, the Hon Arthur Nibbs launched the occasion, explaining that this latest venture is part of the Ministry of Agriculture’s bold plan to transform agriculture.

How then will this latest undertaking assist in the ministry’s vision?

As part of the highlight of the 2-day event, the ministry of Agriculture has collaborated with a number of schools for the hosting of a cook-off competition.

Eight main sub committees have also been established from the various agriculture departments, in an effort to lend support to the process of educating the youth on careers in agriculture.
