The Lower House Of Parliament Passed An Historic Bill Approving Amendment To The Law To Decriminalize Up To 15 Grams Of Cannabis

The decriminalizing up to 15 grams of cannabis for personal use is now closer to being a reality.

Parliament’s Lower House on Monday passed the Misuse of Drugs Amendment Bill 2018.

Before it becomes law, the legislation requires the approval of the Parliament’s Upper House, the Senate and the Governor General’s assent.

The bill was piloted by Prime Minister the Hon. Gaston Browne who indicated that it will help to give youths a new lease on life.
