CALYPSO ASSOCIATION INTENSIFIES DEMAND FOR SCORE-SHEET FROM QUARTER FINALS

A shot across the bow to the Festivals Commission.
Calypsonians through their organization Quadadli Kaiso Collaborative have enlisted the services of a lawyer who has written to the Commission demanding the release of the scoresheets from the Quarterfinals.
The letter was addressed to the Chairman of the Festivals Commission, Maurice Merchant.
President of Quadadli Kaiso Collaborative Eugene Kaseba Silcott says the request for the scoresheets is not a new issue.
This time though, he says members are upping the ante.

The Calypsonian who has been in the art form for upwards of 25 years says the scoresheets can only help the artistes so the non-release is hampering the calypsonians.
He says the authorities did not respond to the requests of the Association which led them to take this latest action.


When asked what will be the next move if the score sheets are not made available before the semifinals, the President says a decision on that matter was has not yet been made.
