And it’s decision day tomorrow in Dominica…
Electors will be voting in general elections following several protests over the past few days and sporadic clashes between those blocking the roads and the police trying to clear them.
These were the scenes in Salisbury this morning as a student of the Isaiah Thomas Secondary School was shot in the leg.
The circumstances surrounding how he was shot are unclear, but it happened during a clash between the security forces and protestors in the area.
Dominican news reporter Prisca Julien tells ABS the security forces had moved in to clear blocked roads.
She says tear gas was fired, but some protestors also hurled stones and bottles at the law enforcers.
Salisbury is the second strongest bastion of support for the main opposition United Workers Party, UWP.
Meanwhile, ABS news is keeping a close eye on the developments in the Nature Isle through Peter Richards of the Caribbean Media Corporation.
