RENFREW MAN CHARGED IN DRUG BUST

A 37-year-old man of Renfrew has been charged in connection with the major drug bust at Deep Water Harbour earlier this week.

Darien Anderson Isaac was charged by police on Friday with Possession of 40 and a quarter pounds of Cannabis, Possession of Cannabis with intent to transfer, being concerned in the supplying of Cannabis, Importation of Cannabis and Drug Trafficking.

He is expected to make his first Court appearance on Monday.
The contraband, with an estimated street value of XCD$536,500.00, was seized in a counter-narcotics crackdown on Wednesday.

Officers from the Police Narcotics and K-9 Departments, along with Customs say it was hidden inside a shipment of household appliances coming from Canada.
