2 Electric buses to be added to the School Bus Fleet
The Department of Environment’s goal for the all vehicles used in this country be electric by 2040 is one step closer to completion.
2 Electric buses courtesy of the Italian Govermment will be handed over Tuesday morning at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.
Project Technical Officer Bryan Payne says the intention is to have both buses added to the fleet of school buses in the upcoming school year.
Meanwhile, Senior Environment Officer Daryl George says plans are in place for Sir Vivian Richards Stadium to become one of the region’s first “Green” stadiums. George tells ABS, the stadium will be retrofitted with wind turbines by year’s end.
