Nathan Dundas passes away
Antigua and Barbuda and the region have lost one of the most influential figures in the shipping industry and the cruise sector.
The family of George W. Bennet Bryson and Co. Ltd was today rocked by the news of the passing of Nathan Dundas who has served the company for in excess of 30 years.
According to a statement from Brysons, he was a Director, Shareholder and a long standing Manager.
He died while hospitalised in the United States.
Managing Director Patrick Ryan says the news came as a shock as they knew of his illness but expected him to recover.
He called Dundas a larger than life figure in the cruise and shipping business not only in Antigua and Barbuda but throughout the Caribbean.
He served as President of the Caribbean Shipping Association and for a long time as President of the Antigua and Barbuda Cruise Tourism Association.
Ryan says Dundas was regularly consulted on matters related to the industry because of his knowledge and experience. He developed a close relationship with the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) during this time.
We extend our condolences to the family and friends of Nathan Dundas as we hear at ABS regularly benefitted from his insight as President of the Cruise Association on our news and current affairs programmes.
