RAISED MANHOLES TO BE ADDRESSED WHEN SECOND LAYER OF ASPHALT IS APPLIED ON RESURFACED ROADS
The Works Ministry has confirmed a second layer of asphalt is to be applied on Old Parham Road, Valley Road and Sir Sydney Walling Highway. The Ministry explains this will lift the roads to the level of manholes, some of which are now raised above the surface, causing challenges for some motorists.
These three thoroughfares, as well as Anchorage Road, are being overhauled by contractor C.O. Williams, under the Government’s Second Road Infrastructure Rehabilitation programme.
