SENATE APPROVES NOMINATION OF IAN HUGHES AS NEXT SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS

There has been bipartisan support in the Senate for the appointment of Ian Hughes to the position of supervisor of elections.
Hughes is now on the verge of assuming the position, after Parliament’s Lower House had also given bipartisan support.
His maiden electoral assignment will come in the upcoming by-election in St. Mary’s South.
