WHO ISSUES WARNING AMIDST RISE IN COVID-CASES, NEW VARIANT

The World Health Organization says it is monitoring another variant of COVID-19.
The revelation comes as global infections reached three quarters of a billion last month.
E-G.5 is now the dominant variant circulating in the United States.
W.H.O. Director General Dr Tedros Adhannom warns that while the viral infection is no longer a global public health emergency, the risk to the public remains high.
