ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA CONTINUES TALKS WITH US REGARDING RECENT VISA ANNOUNCEMENTS

Antigua and Barbuda’s ambassador to the United States, Sir Ronald Sanders says discussions continue with United States officials regarding the partial travel restrictions on the twin-island state.

The measure came into effect on January 1, 2026 and relates to application for new non-immigrant visas. Nationals with valid visas are not affected and can continue to travel to the United States.

Discussions with the US also include the imposition of a refundable visa bond requirement of up to US$15,000 for applicants for non-immigrant visas.
