ABEC is Ready for Nomination Day in St. Phillip North

The Antigua Barbuda Electoral Commission (ABEC) is assuring preparations are in full gear for Nomination Day in the St. Phillip North constituency, Wednesday (February 25, 2026). 

ABEC has also published rules of the nomination process.  Nomination Day has become necessary ahead of a by-election following the resignation of former Member of Parliament for the area, Sir Robin Yearwood. 

The United Progressive Party (UPP) is expected to nominate Alex Browne, who resigned from the Senate last week while the Antigua Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) is expected to nominate Randy Baltimore, who resigned from his role as Principal Inspector within the Customs & Excise Division.  It remains to be seen if there will be other nominees.
