MATCH ABANDONED AT SVRS DUE TO ‘DANGEROUS PITCH CONDITIONS’

The West Indies Championship match between Leeward Islands Hurricanes and Trinidad and Tobago Red Force ended prematurely on Tuesday, because the condition of the pitch at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium was deemed to be dangerous.

The match ended in a draw, after officials were forced to abandon the game before lunch on day three, shortly after a batter was injured.

The head curator at the grounds spoke with ABS Sports.
