YOUNG UWI FIC GRADUATE TO BE NAMED ABLP SENATOR; PM TO DECIDE ON ONE REMAINING POST

Prime Minister the Right Hon. Gaston Browne says a young male graduate of the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus is among his appointees to the Senate.

The group of government senators is to be sworn in in this Friday.

Parliament’s Upper House is comprised of 17 members, eleven of whom are appointed by the Governor General on the advice of the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Browne told ABS News on Tuesday afternoon that he had not yet decided on one of those Senate positions.
