ABTB GM Harry Josiah Charged With 24 Counts Of Fraud

General Manager of the Antigua and Barbuda Transport Board, is out on bail after he was charged with 24 counts of fraud.

Josiah was brought before Magistrate Conliffe Clark to answer the charges and was granted bail of 100-thousand dollars. He was asked to pay a cash deposit of ten percent or ten-thousand dollars.

Police sources have confirmed that Josiah was arrested this afternoon and brought before a magistrate to answer the charges.

The charges stem from on-going investigations at the Transport Board where there have been allegations of irregularities in handling the affairs of the statutory body.

Police reports are that Josiah was picked up on Monday at his house and the police confiscated furniture as well as impounded a vehicle during a search.
