AGRICULTURE OFFICIALS WELCOME OPENING OF TISSUE CULTURE LAB

The Agriculture Ministry has welcomed the opening of its cutting-edge Tissue Culture Laboratory in Bethesda, in what is being billed as a game-changing boost for Antigua and Barbuda’s food security.

The facility will help farmers access healthier planting material, reduce crop losses from pests and diseases, and cut reliance on imported plants.

It is the result of a continuing agricultural partnership between Antigua and Barbuda and the People’s Republic of China.
