BREAKING: DEAL REACHED FOR PURCHASE OF CANCER CENTRE; FIRST PATIENTS COULD BE TREATED BY FEBRUARY

Veteran surgeon, Dr Sir Joseph John has disclosed that he and a group of investors from the United States have struck a deal to purchase the Cancer Centre. He made the revelation during an exclusive interview with ABS News on Friday, indicating that once all goes according to plan, the first patients could start receiving treatment by next month.
The facility has been shuttered since last April, when the previous majority shareholder indicated it was not financially viable.
The Government received Parliamentary approval for the compulsory acquisition of the property for a public purpose, and had been looking to engage investors to resume treatment as soon as possible.
