CURFEW EASED BUT BARS AND GYMS STILL CLOSED

From Thursday, the curfew will run from 11PM to 5AM.  The announcement by Cabinet is being welcomed by many as an indication the country is turning the tide against Covid-19.
Most restrictions remain in place, however.  These include the continued closure of bars and the limiting of public gatherings to 5 people.  Restaurants will continue to operate using strict carrying capacity limits based on the size of dining areas. 
However, Cabinet has disclosed gyms may be given the green light to open as early as next week – this pending a meeting of gym owners with health authorities and a submission of strict protocols for reopening.  Individual licenses to operate may then be issued after Cabinet approval.
