Government Returns With Its ABST Christmas Incentive

It will be a very merry and beneficial Christmas for Antiguans and Barbudans, shoppers and vendors alike.

This as the government continues its fiscal incentive of reducing the Antigua and Barbuda Sales Tax (ABST) from 15 to 5 percent.

Junior Finance Minister Senator Lennox Weston explains why the government continues to offer this break to its citizens and residents.

The tax break will run from December 15 to 18 but where will the money to maximise on this offer come from?

Meantime, Weston expressed support for the merchants noting that the government is happy they can get some relief and see a bump in their sales.

He also encouraged them to add their discount as well so everyone can have a wonderful season. –
