MAN REMANDED FOR BIG CREEK STABBING INCIDENT

Magistrate Conliffe Clarke has remanded 19-year-old Amanki John on a charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

John made his first appearance at St. John’s Magistrate Court this morning.

Police allege the defendant stabbed 23-year-old Alexta Francis several times during an altercation at Big Creek on Tuesday.

Francis, who is known to the court, is scheduled to return for his next hearing on September 22.
