Minister of Legal Affairs and Attorney General, Steadroy “Cutie” Benjamin is giving a thumbs up to the national campaign on the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ).

The campaign is designed to assist members of the public in making a decision on whether or not the CCJ should replace the Privy Council as the country’s final Court of Appeal.

The likelihood of a tsunami affecting Antigua and Barbuda exists, but local officials are ensuring that the citizenry is ready, in the event of such an disaster.

And while there is no immediate threat, several schools and government departments are getting set to participate in a full-scale tsunami evacuation exercise.

This will take place on Friday, as part of an international effort called Carib Wave 16.
