Permanent Secretary Greenaway to join global panel on partnerships at UN Governance Innovation Summit in Baku
ST JOHN’S, Antigua — Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Social and Urban Transformation, Rosa Greenaway, will travel to Baku, Azerbaijan, to take part in the UN Governance Innovation Summit: Advancing Future-Ready Institutions, to be held 5-6 November 2026 at the Gulustan Palace.
The Summit is co-organized by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) and the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. It brings together ministers and senior officials responsible for public service delivery, digital transformation and administrative reform, and it responds to the Antigua and Barbuda Agenda for Small Island Developing States, which recognises the particular constraints small island states face.
On Friday, 6 November, Permanent Secretary Greenaway will speak on the panel Strengthening Partnerships for Effective Governance, alongside officials from Bhutan, Chad, Djibouti, Eswatini and The Gambia. The session will look at how governments can build cross-sector partnerships and adapt successful practices to their own national contexts.
Delegates will also visit Azerbaijan’s ASAN Service Centre, a model of citizen-centred public service delivery.
