POLICE PROBE ARMED ROBBERY IN BENDALS

Police are at this hour probing an armed robbery at TJ’s One Stop in Bendals Friday evening.

Three masked hoodlums barged into the establishment and stole the cash register Friday evening.

Eyewitnesses tell ABS News the men, who were dressed in dark clothing entered the neighborhood shop and held the cashier at gunpoint.

They then fired into the air, sending people in the area scurrying for cover, before making good their escape in a waiting vehicle.

No one was injured in the incident.

Police recovered spent shells at the scene as they carried out their investigations.

The owner of the shop says no more than 500 dollars was inside the cash register at the time.
