POLICE RECOVER STOLEN KIA TRUCK USED IN PRE-DAWN ABDUCTION

Police have recovered the Kia truck stolen from the Donkey Sanctuary over the weekend.

Investigators theorize the thieves used the same stolen truck during an armed pre-dawn home invasion in the All Saints area on Sunday.

Four masked men reportedly kicked in the door of a residence about 3am Sunday and hauled the male occupant outside and drove him away in the Kia truck and severely beat him with their guns.

They released him and he was later taken to hospital by police; the extent of his injuries is unclear, as is the motive for the attack.

Police are carrying out further investigations into both crimes and are searching for the armed assailants.
