Pringle on ICT Facility

Director of Education Jacintha Pringle applauds the Minister of Telecommunications, Science and Technology Dr Hon. Edmond Mansoor for the success of the ICT Cadet programme, which is one component of the Government Assisted Technology Endeavour (GATE) project. Pringle is impressed with the ICT Cadet Training facility, which will be used to train hundreds of Antiguans and Barbudans in ICT’s and New Media techniques.

The ICT Cadet programme is a collaborative ICT initiative between the Government of Antigua and Barbuda and Telecommunications Company Digicel. Cadets will get hands-on training in the New Media Unit, in areas that will cover video filming, video editing, web journalism, graphic design, photography, social media management and new media techniques, including development of websites and web marketing. They will also work on the mobile IT buses and assist in maintaining these networks
