PRISON OFFICIALS PROBE ATTEMPTED ESCAPE BY INMATES

Quick action by the police foiled an attempted escape by five inmates at Her Majesty’s Prison last evening. Four of the would-be escapees did not manage to reach the perimeter wall, but the other scaled the wall of the compound on the south eastern side. However, he was held by police shortly afterward and returned to the prison. This is according to Acting Prison Superintendent Jermaine Anthony, who says an investigation is being carried out.
