ROMAN HILL RESIDENT REPORTS FRIGHTENING HOME INVASION BY ESCAPEE

A woman in Roman Hill reports that her home was broken into by a man she identified as Asquith Greene who escaped from Her Majesty’s Prison Crabbs on Emancipation Day. The resident tells ABS News the man broke into the bigger of two houses on the premises shortly before 9:30am on Carnival Tuesday. She said her step-son was in the house but had not realized the burglar had gained entry and had been ransacking the rooms. The startling revelation was made when her daughter left from the smaller house and came across the burglar. He reportedly had a knife and a piece of iron which he ostensibly used to gain entry, claiming to be hungry. He later ran before police arrived on the scene. Law enforcers are now combing the area in search of the escapee. Greene had been on remand at the Crabbs facility which is used as a COVID-19 quarantine Centre. He spotted an opportunity to escape when inmates were released from their cells to have breakfast on Sunday.
If you have seen the escapee or know where he is, please contact the nearest police station immediately. ABS will provide further updates.
