Street Lighting Project

The street lighting project started by the Chinese Government is to expand into the New Year with the addition of solar panels.

The announcement comes from the resident Chinese Ambassador to Antigua and Barbuda, Ren Gong-ping.

Ambassador Ren says the year 2014 has been a good one for the relationship between the People’s Republic of China and Antigua and Barbuda.
He thanked Prime Minister, the Hon. Gaston Browne for his involvement in the meeting of Caricom leaders and Chinese President Xi Jin-ping, in Brazil, last July, as well as his visit to China in August.
He says out of PM Browne’s visit a number of new bilateral agreements were signed between the two countries.
