The Prime Minister Reiterates His Call For Local Involvement In The Proposed Airport Hotel

Prime Minister, Hon. Gaston Browne, is repeating his call for local involvement in the proposed airport hotel when it comes on stream in the future.
This week, a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister says the government is seeking to purchase the Pavilion restaurant and surrounding lands at the airport.
According to the statement…the government believes that the lands are ideal for the construction of an airport facility. It says government would want nationals and residents to invest in the venture.
However, PM Browne says the response from the Antigua Chamber of Commerce has been less than enthusiastic.

The Prime Minister says Antiguans and Barbudans should move past the culture of not investing in enterprises…and they should take a close look at the government’s offer.
