Water Outage In Sections Of The Country

water WoesAn agent at the water fault reporting centre of the Antigua Public Utilities Authority says APUA is investigating a number of complaints of prolonged water service suspension.

Reports are that the water division received a number of calls on Monday, indicating the absence of water service in some sections of the country for over 24 hours in some cases.

When ABS called the water fault reporting number, 211, the supervisor on duty, who identified herself as Miss Reynolds, confirmed that the department had been notified of the issue and is working to rectify the problem.

Residents in communities – to include Point, Villa, Yorks, Fort Road, Mckinnons and surrounding areas – have complained they received no running water to their homes for the entire day on Sunday.
