Leader of Government Business Senator Lennox Weston Says The Results Of The CIP Are Proof That Criticism Of The Initiative Are Unfounded
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is reportedly impressed with the economic turnaround that the country has experienced in the last 20 months.
That’s according to Minister of State within the Ministry of Corporate Governance and Finance and Leader of Government Business within the Senate, Senator Lennox Weston.
Speaking during Tuesday night’s conclusion of the 2016 Budget debate in the Upper House of Parliament, Senator Weston said that the IMF officials are “flabbergasted” by the government’s accomplishments to date.
He made mention of the record $140 million generated by the Citizenship By Investment Program (CIP).
Senator Weston underscored that moving forward the ABLP led administration will be focused on empowering the people of Antigua and Barbuda and eliminating poverty.
