DEATH TOLL RISES TO 41 IN AEROFLOT CRASH

The confirmed death toll had now risen to 41 with several persons critically injured. Russian media has reported that a flight attendant and two children are among the dead.
According to Aeroflot the engines caught fire as the plane landed.

AT LEAST 13 DEAD AND SEVERAL INJURED IN FIERY CRASH LANDING IN RUSSIA
Thirteen people have been confirmed dead following the fiery emergency landing of a passenger plane in Russia’s capital Moscow on Sunday. Several other people are reported to have been injured as the burning Aeroflot plane touched down. A fire is said to have broken out on board after the plane took off from Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport, forcing the crew to abort the flight. The plane was carrying 78 passengers, and several were seen using exit slides to escape the burning Sukhoi Superjet-100.
