STAKEHOLDERS MEET TO DISCUSS THE DISPOSAL OF PESTICIDE CONTAINERS
Stakeholders are meeting at the Fisheries Complex to develop a scheme to properly manage the disposal of empty pesticides containers.
The seminar, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, is being facilitated by Regional Project Coordinator, Guy Mathurin of the FAO.
This follows a survey of 100 local farmers that reveal many were not following best practices as it related to the disposal of pesticides containers.
Today’s meeting falls under component 3 of a larger project dealing with various aspects of pesticides management and control.
