MINISTER GREENE PROVIDES UPDATE ON PAINT DEAL

A major development this evening which clears the way for Harris Paints to carry out paint production in Antigua.
Harris Paints assumed ownership of Lee Wind Paints in a move expected to boost its regional manufacturing and distribution footprint.
Trade Minister the Hon. E.P. Chet Greene says part of the hold-up surrounded the fact that Article 164 had not been signed by two Caricom members.

Article 164 is a provision in the Revised Treaty of Chaguaramas which provides protection to industrial activity in the Less Developed Countries of Caricom.
