NEW BUILDING CODES BEING CONTEMPLATED

The government will be going as far as adopting legislation to ensure proper air quality in the buildings in this country.

A working group,with members from a cross section of Government Ministries and Agencies have been put in place to implement the policy.
Experts say poor building design and inadequate maintenance of air conditioning systems have contributed to the poor health of buildings.

The Minister says later these evaluations will be extended to private institution to ensure every building in the country meet the national health standards.
