BAIL SET AT EC$200,000.00 FOR JANICE SAMUEL

Media personality, Janice Samuel was granted bail and a block placed at the airport when she appeared in the District B Magistrates court today.
Bail was granted for EC$200,000.00 with a $50,000.00 cash component and two sureties.
Samuel was unable to post bail and was remanded back to custody.
The media personality is also to continue residing at Law pasture and is required to give 48 hours notice if she intends to move.
The bail relates to the charge of 14 counts of obtaining money by false pretenses.
Samuel was charged for illegally obtaining close to a hundred and seven thousand dollars from plumbing company H2one Limited, where she reportedly worked as an office assistant.
The charges were filed less than a week after the media personality was given a suspended sentence for a similar offence.
In that case, Samuel stole over four thousand dollars from Connies Comfort Suites where she worked as a consultant in 2016.
Samuel is due back in court October 30.
