KING DE BEAR COPS 1ST RUNNER UP

Regional Calypsonians battled it out in the 23rd annual Leeward Islands Calypso Competition.
In the end it was Anguilla’s Queen Roxy who took the crown.
1st runner up, and Antigua and Barbuda’s Reigning Calypso Monarch King De Bear, says he was not surprised by the results.


Focusing primarily on the theme of Education, King De Bear went to battle with “On a Ray of Hope”.


Rounding out the winner’s circle was Miss Independent from St. Kitts. Also competing was the Defending Champion, Antigua and Barbuda’s own, Queen Thalia.
Queen Thalia performed Obsessions with the Past and Life’s Challenges.
